- Castle of Wizardry by David Eddings
"I knew the knight on guard at the drawbridge, so I hit him over the head because I did not want to hurt him."
"I knew that he would be honor-bound to try to stop us", Lelldorin explained, "I did not want to have to kill him, so I hit him over the head."
"I suppose that makes sense," Garion said dubiously.
"Ariana’s almost positive that he will not die".
I love these books so much, and I enjoy all conversations between Lelldorin and Garion. xDD
about a year ago i searched the tags for “belgariad” and “eddings” and received a mere handful of results. now today i search the former and am awed at the amount of stuff out there.
what the hell happened? did everyone just decide to reread those books?
because i did. its been fifteen years and two literary degrees since the first time and they are still fresh, phenomenal writing. i’d put these books up against any other fantasy series.
